Hospitals often face challenges in their efforts to comply with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA). This webinar will provide a basic overview on EMTALA applicability and will dive into the history and nuances of the 250-yard rule, while also providing a litigation update of recent cases highlighting some of these challenges – including a Louisiana-based “reverse” EMTALA claim litigated by the presenters.
