Antibiotics can be life-saving treatment for bacterial infections, however they are not effective against viral infections. Anytime antibiotics are prescribed, they can lead to side effects and contribute to the growing problem of antibiotic resistance. During this webinar, “Getting Started in Improving Antibiotic Use,” Drs. Tsay and Neuhauser will discuss current trends in antibiotic use in the United States and ways that clinicians and facilities can identify opportunities for improvement within their own practice or facility.
This program is presented by the Hospital Services of Louisiana, Inc (HSLI). This program has been approved for .5 Nursing Contact hours by HSLI for the complete attendance of the program. HSLI is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing – CE Provide #60.
