Non-Discrimination & Management of Impartiality
Certification opportunities are available to all eligible applicants. The LHATF is committed to equal opportunity and does not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, marital status, or disability.
Recognizing the critical importance of impartiality, the LHATF is dedicated to conducting all certification activities objectively and without bias. This includes managing conflicts of interest and ensuring fairness in our interactions with applicants, candidates, and certified individuals. LHATF and its leadership uphold principles of honesty and integrity throughout the certification process.
All individuals are treated fairly and equitably, with consistent application of certification procedures to ensure equal access and opportunity. While professional eligibility requirements must be met, LHATF membership is not required for certification. LHATF does not restrict access to the certification based on organizational affiliation, LHA, LHATF, or other association membership, or unrealistic eligibility criteria.
To preserve impartiality and integrity, LHATF maintains strict standards and does not accept commercial, financial, or other external influences that could compromise the objectivity of its certification.
Potential threats to impartiality are investigated and mitigated when identified. This includes risks arising from internal operations, related entities, or personal relationships involving the organization or its personnel. Although not all relationships pose a threat, the LHATF conducts thorough due diligence to assess and mitigate any risks.
Application process impartiality is demonstrated through specific eligibility requirements by all individuals who are interested in the certification exam. Anyone interested in the exam must meet the basic requirements prior to gaining access to the exam.
Fees are assessed and must be paid by all individuals who are interested in certification and recertification. Fees are assessed equally for all interested individuals.
Certification promotional materials and advertising are reviewed regularly to ensure the information is accurate and not misleading.
